Farewell to Summer!

Well since it seems I have neglected my end of the deal I will try to update everyone briefly. Summer has once again past by very quickly. Our month of August was filled with birthday parties and vacations.

Noah celebrated his 5th birthday with a party at Boondocks. It included pizza and a "Cars" cake. He had lots of fun with his friends and winning lots of tickets from the games. His final prize, Spider Man Flip Flops. Doesn't get much better than that.

Tim and I spent a weekend in Seattle watching the Red Sox get trampled. If it wasn't for the fact that this was the first time away from the kids, Tim probably would have been a real downer.

A few days after that we all left for Minnesota to visit Great Grandma. Grandma and Papa Rogers were also there. We had a great time visiting with Joy's Aunt and Uncle and various cousins, playing pick, and picking green beans.

The day after we got home Noah and Emma started preschool. Noah is in Mrs. Foster's class and Emma in Mrs. Cole's. They are both having such a great time and Emma is so excited to be a big girl now.

Emma has also started taking a ballet class. It is quite entertaining. She loves her pink slippers and her teacher Ms. Stephanie.

And of course I can't forget the little squirt. She seems to be discovering something new all the time. She finally has two teeth and likes to try them out once in awhile(on mommy). Not walking yet, but we're working on it.

Well I think that's the shortened version of it.

Enjoy!

Hockey 101

Noah is once again playing hockey and loves every minute of it. He has really improved over the year. In his mind he is "very fast". We are still working on being humble. Tim even gets to help coach and skate with him.

Here are a couple of pictures of Noah. He's the one in the middle chasing after the kid with the puck.(I think they were supposed to be working on passing)
He's working on his puck handling skills in the other one.

Wayne Gretzkey watch out!

Boise Bunch Fun!

As you can see the kids keep growing and are having fun. We are all done with swim lessons and are eagerly waiting for dance and school to start. We try to keep them busy with chores and school stuff, but they still always want to watch a movie.

Sophia had tubes put in her ears and seems to be doing much better. We hope this will be the end of her illnesses for awhile. She is such a happy baby.

Happy Birthday Emma!

On June 8th we celebrated Emma's birthday with a big party. We had a jump house, a pinata and of course lots of candy. We had lots of friends over and had a great time visiting with everyone. Emma loves all her presents and was very thankful for everything.
She enjoyed her Tinkerbell cake and having everyone sing to her. We look forward to experiencing the 3's again.

We love swimming!

The end of June Noah and Emma started swim lessons. It was kind of a rough start, but they seem to be enjoying it. Noah is usually the first to volunteer and Emma quietly sits on the stairs hopeing she won't be picked. They will continue off and on for the rest of the summer. We hope to turn them into little guppies!

Blazing a trail to Bend!

On June 10 we left for a 1 week vaction to Bend, Oregon with our friends the Harris family. We were not quite sure what kind of adventure we would be in for.
We stayed at the Eagle Crest Resort where we had lots of activities to keep us busy.

Our days were filled with swimming, playing and golf ball hunting. Sometimes the moms tried to impose nap time which most the time was unsuccessful.
We spent a day in the town of Sisters and enjoyed their "Giant Pizza". We even rented bikes one day which all of us could fit on. Of course all the kids loved it,they didn't have to do any of the work.

All in all it was a very successful trip and the kids were all sad when they had to leave. Maybe we'll brave it again in a couple of years!
